After last year's Modified Nationals with the poor turn out, theft and damage to cars, we were a little dubious about going to this year's show. However, as it was Billing Aquadrome this year, we thought we'd give it another go and head down on the Sunday. Sunday morning came and I headed down to Tim's for a lift in the Corrado. On the way down we got a call from JC saying that an excellent show awaited us, and he wasn't wrong. It was a gorgeous day, with the sun beaming down on the sea of modified motors that stretched out before us on the field.
We hadn't been there long before the borocruisers invited us to a challenge on the Honda pro-karts. It was hilarious, hopefully they'll have some picture up of the antics on their site. As we chatted about the previous day, stories of the night's entertainment started to flow. If you knew someone that went to the show and was there, ask them what happened..... Describing the stories I was told on this website in any detail would probably get us shut down. Lets just say JC's T-shirt has a nasty stain made by a banana which was fired at him from a girl on stage, from a place that..... (well, I'm sure you've worked out the rest by now!).
As you can see from the photos, we had a great time. There was loads of first class cars, very good show by the various club stands, plenty of trade stands and a fantastic atmosphere. If it's at Billing Aquadrome next year, we'll definitely go down for the whole weekend...
